Shirt with Winnie Pooh machine embroidery design.
Author: Diane Sittley (USA)
A very popular type of casual clothing, shirts, jacket can be decorated with Winnie Pooh machine embroidery to make a great gift for boy or girl.
Author comment: "....Today, I finished the shirt and took it to the post office. My customer wanted the shirt by Friday and requested your Pooh design. I did not have time to wait for you to send it. I love this Pooh design. The detail in the design is amazing. It stitched out perfect! I did this design on my Brother PE700, using 100% cotton interlock knit fabric. On the bottom, I used a layer of Sulky Soft n Sheer and two layers of Pellon Stitch and Tear. Your designs are not just cartoon designs, they are art work. Such talent. I wish I was there so you could teach me to digitize like you do. Thanks for all the wonderful designs."
We would like to give you some tips. Before you start:
If you are new to the machine embroidery technique first try the machine embroidery design on a piece of scrap fabric to see how it behaves.
Experiment with an old (damaged) one, or at least some shirt fabric.
We recommend one layer of very fine cut-away stabilizer (probably Floriani), or organza, and several layers (2-3) of water-soluble stabilizer. We recommend Sulky's Ultra Solvy, which is very tough, for backing and Sulky's Solvy, thinner, for topping.
